Antaha Center for Experiential Learning (ACEL) pioneers a transformative approach to well-being, recognizing that traditional therapy alone can’t address the complex needs of individuals. Our unique model empowers future psychologists by integrating personalized meditation instruction, uncapped supportive conversations, and experiential learning. Through diverse techniques and self-practice, we equip students with the tools to understand and embody mindfulness, compassion, and self-awareness. We tailor each experience to individual needs, ensuring students thrive personally and professionally.
A Comprehensive Learning In Meditation Based Psychotherapy: A Transformative Learning Journey
The program is a comprehensive 10-week journey designed to equip aspiring psychologists with the skills and knowledge to integrate personalized well-being practices into their therapeutic approach.
Foundation of Psychotherapy (Weeks 1-4):
- Basics of psychotherapy
- The mind of a therapist
- Principles of personalizing the approach
- Impact assessment
- Profound understanding of key concepts with a dedicated lecture for relationships, gratitude, judgment, compassion, sensitivity, and emotional regulation in the therapeutic process.
Exploring Meditation and Mindfulness (Weeks 5-8):
- Meditation fundamentals (The Eastern world approach)
- The science of meditation and its impact on the brain and well-being
- Experiential learning of the most effective meditation practices for addressing loneliness, depression, anxiety, and stress.
- Understanding concepts like conscious awareness, store consciousness, and mindfulness.
Integrating Psychology and Meditation (Weeks 9-12):
- Developing personalized approaches that blend psychotherapy and meditation techniques.
- Deepening self-awareness and exploring questions of identity, values, relationships, emotional health, and spiritual realization.
- Addressing common themes like loneliness, belonging, perception, sensations, trust, and spirituality.
- 4 weeks of hands-on experience with real clients at our Hopeline platform, including personalizing approaches and assessing impact.
Program Highlights
- Gain a comprehensive experience with a minimum of 75 hours with this professional learning program; combining learning with real-time client interaction.
- An intensive 10 week training with 6 weeks of learning (2 live sessions each week + additional sessions if necessary or requested) and 4 weeks of practical experience through projects.
- Develop a strong foundation in psychotherapy and a deep understanding of meditation's therapeutic potential.
- Cultivate the skills to personalize treatment approach, integrate meditation practices, and assess their impact on client well-being.
